Amazing

This book for the layman like myself will most likely take you awhile to get through, but if you liked secrets in plain sight, this is a must have. It goes in deep and is just wonderful information that makes you go 'hmmm, people in the past knew a lot more than we give them credit for.' And so much more, it's worth checking out yourself.

An emotional read

I cried several times reading this book. The characterization of foster kid B.J. Larson is spot on. She's had a terrible childhood, bumped from home to home to juvie detention to a youth center, and suffering at each one. For me, the scenes where B.J. is reminded of something from her past are the most powerful.

A loving older couple offers B.J. a chance at a "real" home. Although Liz and Ted might seem too good to be true, I found their dedication to B.J. understandable. I felt as if they were trying to atone for the mistakes they made with their spoiled daughter, now grown. Liz and Ted give B.J. a puppy, forcing B.J. to care for something, the first step on her road to learning how to love and be loved. And although B.J. continues to think she will need to run away from this foster home, she now plans to take Guard-dog with her. At the prep-school Academy that Liz and Ted insist B.J. attend, B.J. seems to fit in almost too easily, but the author then shows us how many of the kids in this small, close-knit town also have family problems (i.e., it isn't just "city" kids who suffer from selfish or absentee parents).

My one caveat with this book (and why I didn't give it 5 stars) is that several times, I felt I was reading a story set more than a generation ago. Some of the language, references, and descriptions are dated, and the overall feel of the writing is more innocent (and yes, a tad less realistic) than what is found in many of today's teen books. But this book has a great deal to offer a reader. I would particularly recommend this book to church teen groups.

Amazing Story.A must read.

This is the story of B.J Larson who is a ward of the state and who is possibly being adopted by Liz and Tom.B.J hasnt had affection,she has acted out to get out of bad foster homes.She has been beaten down.B.J doesnt know what it is to be loved and to love herself.In this story you will watch as B.J overcomes her fears,finds love and the best of all..learns to love herself.

First of Wow.What an emotional story.What an amazing Debut by Shannon Kennedy.If all of her future releases are this amazing..well she is going places.The best part of the story is I felt B.J's emotions..her turmoil.When an author is able to make you feel so strongly about something,I say thats a sign of an great author.Liz and Tom..they are what I would hope all soon to be adopt/foster parents would be.If that was the case the world would be such a better place.There was one person in the story I couldn't stand.. however I will let the reader figure that one out and not spoil it.

I highly highly recommend Throw Away Teen.Its emotional,it makes you angry..it sucks you in.You do not want to miss out on this.Shannon Kennedy,You have written an amazingly great book.I look forward to your next work and you have me as a fan.

Excellent How To

This is a very detailed, how to guide regarding double bevel marquetry. The author describes the necessary materials and equipment in detail. He then performs two projects. Each project is described in extensive detail. When the reader has finished both of these projects, the readers will be confident enough to try some extensive marquetry--maybe not Silas Kopf stuff but the reader will clearly be ready for lots of projects.

I purchased "Woodworker's Guide to Veneering & Inlay", "Marquetry Course" and "The Fine Art of Marquetry: Creating Images in Wood Using Sawn Veneers" together at the same time. All three are quite beautiful in terms of photography and packed with very useful, detailed knowledge. I started out reading "Woodworker's Guide to Veneering & Inlay" first. It contains a great deal of information about the creation of veneer and inlay materials. This was an excellent lead in to the "Marquetry Course". This book discusses a number of projects in increasing complexity. I then read "The Fine Art of Marquetry: Creating Images in Wood Using Sawn Veneers". I found this book to be quite detailed both in direction and step-by-step photographs. If you cannot create the basic project as outlined in this book you should not blame the book. Taking nothing away from the other two books, if you can only purchase one, I would start with "The Fine Art of Marquetry: Creating Images in Wood Using Sawn Veneers". But I highly recommend all three!

A great way to start

I am new to Marquetry but needed to create a small flower as an inlay on a small table. A couple of years ago I had taken a course in hand sawn veneer from Craig and had watched him make a small leaf using marquetry. That small leaf is featured in the first part of the book while making the lotus flower shown on the book cover is described in detail in the last half. It took me a couple of tries to make an acceptable lotus flower but I now feel quite comfortable with the process. The book provides a ton of illustrated detail, walking you through every step of cutting and shading every piece. I also own a couple of videos on marquetry and the book is a much more useful learning aid.

I purchased the top 5 books on the subject and started with this one because it was the smallest....i feel like returning the other 4, this gives me everything i need. i have a few questions that i wish i could email the Riki Roash to ask but otherwise i feel empowered! i sent out 11 letters the next day according to his instructions and now anxiously awaiting responses.

Title is misleading.

I read this book cover to cover in under an hour. For someone who does not understand how credit disputes work, this is a good book. But it does not show you how to remove ALL negative items from the credit report. Instead this light reading book shows how to dispute items on the credit report and hope that they don't get validated. If the items that are being disputed are outdated or not correct, the methods in the book will work. But for recent and valid negatives, the advice in the book may make things worse by giving the creditors the information they need to collect. So it can either work great or back fire big. It is a 50/50 roll, but It definitely will not show you how to remove ALL negative items. The author may have been in the business of removing negatives for 18 years, but the recent changes in the laws in the past few years make the information a little outdated. And the book does not mention how frequently and for what reason credit reporting agencies throw requests out as "frivolous" and how to avoid it.

Great readability. Great content. Overpriced.

I've read over twenty different books about credit repair, several of them right here on Amazon. Many of those books, including this one, are quite good. The only reason I have decided to rate this book 3 stars instead of four is the price. For reasons I'll note down below, I think that this title is overpriced for the credit repair category.

Almost all of the books that fall into the “credit repair” category here on Amazon provide essentially the same information, which is usually very general and easy to find online for free by searching Google. The TOC's of many of these books are similar to this:

1. What is a CRA (Credit Bureau) - their names, what they do, their mailing addresses
2. What is a Credit Score - what a FICO score is, how scores are calculated, how scores are used
3. Where to get your free credit report - annualcreditreport.com
4. How to read your credit report - what each section is, what information is on it, who is reporting the information to the credit bureaus
5. How to file a complaint with a Consumer Protection Agency - where to go if your disputes with the CRA's are unsuccessful

The above information comes directly from the CRA's themselves and from Federal Consumer Protection Laws which are available online. The reason all of these books contain this same information is because the process for filing disputes is easily learned online. Because this information is so readily available for free from other sources (and cheaper from many other Amazon choices) the only real way to base an opinion on this book is to qualify it based upon its readability and value, as its content is essentially the same as that of many other providers.

Having said that, I can say that the information contained in this book is laid out in an easy to understand, concise fashion that most readers will be able to easily digest. The author is very thorough and covers subjects with just enough information to inform readers without overwhelming them with unnecessary details or overly complicating the information. There also is no “legal jargon” or “legalese” that I have seen in some of the other books, making this book easy to process for those with no previous introduction to the subjects this book covers.

This book begins in a similar manner to other credit repair books. A short introduction where the author describes his or her background in the financial planning business (for over 18 years), as well as experience as a mortgage broker. During this time it is was in the author's interest to ensure that prospective clients would have a high enough credit score to purchase his or her products, so a leap into the world of self-directed learning began, and the author became an expert at repairing (or building, or rebuilding) her potential clients' credit scores.

The introduction is followed by several familiar chapters. “The Credit Bureaus”, “What's in Your Credit Report”, “What is a FICO Score”, “How to Order a Free Credit Report”, and other similarly titled chapters comprise the first half of this book. In this first half the information in this book is exactly the same as what can be found via a simple internet search. I believe that this means the content of this section is equal to other available choices, however I feel that the way the information is organized and presented in the book can save time over doing independent research.

The meat and potatoes of this book comes in the chapter “How to Remove ALL Negative Items from Your Report”. The book goes into detail about how to file a dispute with the credit bureau and then request what is known as a method of verification request. In a nutshell, if the credit bureau's don't follow procedures within a certain time-frame (typically 30 days), you have the right to have the information removed from your credit reports, whether it is accurate or not.

I did notice that throughout the book some of the writing is choppy or incomplete, however overall the book is very easy to read and understand.

The book then goes into a description of debt validation, a process when you are dealing directly with collection agencies and want to force them to comply with the law. This is one of the more important sections of the book, and I think that the way this section is written and presented will be great information for consumers to be able to act on.

There is a bonus section at the end entitled “10 Mistakes to Avoid While Repairing Your Credit”. This section goes over ten things to make sure you do when sending dispute letters. Some of the mistakes to avoid include sending your letters via regular (vs certified) mail, not keeping copies of all documents you send and receive, and communicating via electronic means, such as email or chats. All communication should be kept with certified letters to ensure you keep an accurate record of your communications and to preserve some of the rights your forfeit when you file a dispute online.

Overall, I think this is by far one of the best books on Amazon regarding credit repair. It is thorough, contains great information, and is easy to read. If you can part with the almost ten bucks to purchase it, or if you see it on sale, I highly recommend you purchase a copy. I am rating the book 3 stars simply because I think the same information can be found cheaper via many other sources, and therefore I have a hard time justifying the high price of this book compared to others in the Amazon Credit Repair Category.

Whatever choice you decide to make or book you decide to buy, remember to dedicate yourself to taking action and following through. It can take a long time to fix your credit, so get started right now so you can be ready for the future.

Benton runs into a old friend that he knew and something is revealed about her . who is Ciaran and why is he after Isolder . and what is her secret who is she really . and why does Benton want to be with her . and will he and she come to an understanding or will Ciaran mess that up for them .
this was an ARC from the Author and love love this series i have read every book and cannot wait to read the next one .

I enjoyed getting to read some more about Benton. I feel like there is so much more to his story and this short just added more depth and possibilities. I can never get enough of the Dark Faerie Tales series. I think it was a good job by the author to create a short that anyone who has not read the series before could jump into this story. It could basically stand alone.

This monograph summarizes state of the art knowledge regarding peritoneal surface malignancies, with in-depth description of treatment options and the results achieved to date. It explores the most challenging problems on the basis of the authors’ very extensive clinical experience and examines the most relevant clinical trials. A comprehensive summary is provided of all phase 2 studies (the only available completed studies) and of ongoing and future phase 3 studies. Particular attention is paid to the results of integrated treatment comprising cytoreduction (peritonectomy) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Helpful background information is also included on the definition and clinical assessment of each clinical form.
